I will come to you...

My dear daughter,

You are somewhere out there; maybe somewhere simliar to the city in the picture below. Right now, I am far, far away in America. Do you even know what America is? I wish there were a way to get a message to you that you have a mama who is coming to get you and loves you very much- and brothers who can't wait to share with you the family we have.

I saw a picture of this little child alone on her bed. Is this what your life is like right now? I have been praying that God is protecting you from the pains of hunger, cold, neglect and restraint. I don't really even know where you are, who is caring for you, or what you are experiencing. That is a very hard thing for a mama.

I hope there is a mama working (like the one pictured below) in that place where you are, who has a tender heart for you and that your needs, at least as much as is possible, are being met. I know that God is making a way for me to come and get you and that He is preparing me to be your mama. It doesn't matter to me what I find when I come to you.

I don't care what you can or cannot do yet, what you know or understand, or how you look. I will take you from that place to your new home and family and I will love you, hold you, and teach you about the God who made you and who orchestrated the plan to bring us together.

I can hardly wait to get there, and though I don't know what it is, I know there is a reason for the lengthy process. I pray that as I wait, I will listen to the voice of God as He guides and lights the path to you, and that I will remember to wait on His timing as I do. I am praying for you, as are many other people who want to see you have a better life.

It is my hope that our family will show the world what it looks like to be adopted as children of God through faith in Christ; that they will see that each life matters, each soul is treasured by God and that He cherishes everyone, great and small, rich and poor, capable and limited. He can do so much more with small, poor and limited who are committed to Him.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth." (Matthew 5:3-5 NKJV)

Jesus said, "I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you." (John 14:18) My prayer is that God helps me to keep that promise- through help from others, through patience and through waiting on Him.

Hang in, baby girl. I know you must be beautiful and you are loved. I can't wait to know you. I can't wait for you to know love.

I will come to you.
